Seal Cove Tomme

November 2nd, 2008 | by tb |

This was the second cheese I picked up at Saxelby’s last week. Seal Cove Tomme is a little puck (4 oz) of aged goat’s cheese. It has a natural, bloomy rind and has a bit of heft for its size. The cheese has a very dry texture, but it’s not crumbly, just dense. It has a fresh taste with a distinctive lemon flavor. It’s not particularly tangy or salty, just damn addictive. This is not your typical goat’s milk cheese. I could see myself sitting down and eating a few of these at a sitting without even realising it. Highly recommended!
